Canvas provides a variety of ways to differentiate content for your students. Here is how we recommend you differentiate.
1. Create Differentiated Sections in your Courses
By creating additional sections, you can assign content to a section of students who are in a Modified group. You can also assign content to a section of students who should be getting non-modified material.
2. Add your students to the newly created sections
Once you create your sections, the next step is to enroll your students within these section in the People section of your Canvas Course.
3. Assign assignments to your modified, or non-modified sections
Now that you have created sections for students, when assigning assignments, you can switch from the default: Everyone, and choose which groups of students get which assignment. Additionally, you can create assignments and assign them to individual students.
In order to make modifications clear to students, it's recommended to use Module or Assignment groups to organize your groups. Create a Module or Assignment Group in order to organize all of your Modified Assignment group.
